Visited on Good Friday with my 10 year old son. Our tour wasn't booked until the afternoon but spent the morning doing the other bits and having lunch. The food in the cafe isn't great, especially for the price. Only vegetarian and gluten free option was a jacket potato. Would recommend taking lunch with you. The tour was fantastic, it certainly exceeded my expectations. We made it an adventure by going on the train, the station is within walking distance to Cadburys World - you can smell chocolate on route to the entrance too (yummy!). Highly recommend. So much so I have brought my sister and her family tickets to go.

An interesting place to visit, although not a huge amount to actually do it is educational. Do not forget the factory shop. There is the Cadbury village which we did not visit but if we come back will certainly have a look round

Sorry but our visit today was largely disappointing. (Definitely aims at K-3rd grade kids and that’s about it.) Very expensive for less than an hour’s tour. Even though we had a late entrance slot, we spent much of the 45 minutes queueing at various rooms. Cafe is very over priced. Chocolate shop is dearer than a local supermarket. And don’t get me started on the chocolate - ever since Cadbury added palm oil to all their products, the taste is dreadful. Parking was free and plentiful. The place looks tired. The ticket is worth about £7-8 max. There are way better places to explore in Worcestershire. Others may love the place but I can’t recommend it.

A pretty disappointing visit unfortunately. Booked online and there was no warning that a large area is currently closed with construction work ongoing. We were under the impression that this was being completed over the Winter closure, but obviously not the case, and still charged full price. Luckily we live locally but if we had travelled a distance it certainly wouldn't be worth the money. Our toddler enjoyed the ride and 4D cinema, and of course the little pot of chocolate with toppings. However that was pretty much the whole tour done. We allocated a few hours but were done within an hour. As a side note - you exit into the gift shop down a ramp from "advertising street". We found the security guard at the bottom of the ramp incredibly rude. There is a no entry sign from the shop up the ramp, which is fine, but our 2 year old decided to run back up the ramp to find her Grandad who was a little slower walking. I apologised to the guard and said she will be back down with her Grandad in a minute (we had clearly paid to do the tour and not just entered via the gift shop as he watched us walk down the ramp!) He then proceeded to follow up the ramp, scolding us! I explained my daughter is only 2 and she was in the process of coming back down, which she did 20 seconds later. Just something to be aware of as I know many children / adults, especially if ND, may find being spoken to like that upsetting.

Travelled here with 11 year old daughter. 8 year old son and husband. This was our second visit after having visited just prior to lockdown in 2020. What a disappointment the second visit was compared to the first visit. 4D cinema was good and that’s about it really. Lots of the attraction closed off. Huge chaotic queue for the tour. Heard lots of people complaining about the disorganisation. The tour was not as good as 2020. A lot less chocolate given out this time. We were surprised how much of the tour was closed. Really not a good experience . We are not in a rush to come back . If travelling more than an hour I wouldn’t bother. Totally unacceptable for Cadbury’s World to charge the full price for a ticket knowing that a lot of the attraction is closed.

Visited Cadbury World in Birmingham and found it quite enchanting. The chocolate making process is fascinating, and the history behind Cadbury is well presented. The staff were lovely, and the chocolate samples were a treat. However, the cafe was a bit overcrowded and the prices in the gift shop seemed high. Overall, a delightful visit but could be even sweeter with a few tweaks.

During a recent visit to Cadbury World with my two sons, aged 7 and 13, our anticipation for a chocolate-filled adventure was high, fuelled by the promise of a 3-4 hour experience. The entry fee of £58 for the three of us seemed a fair price for what was expected to be a substantial day out. Unfortunately, our journey through the world of Cadbury was shorter and less sweet than anticipated. Our experience was notably swift, lasting just under two hours. This was a surprising deviation from the expected duration, leaving us with additional time to fill in our day. The initial delight of receiving three chocolate bars at the entrance quickly waned as we discovered these were the only samples provided, aside from a small tub of chocolate sauce with limited topping options. While any offering is appreciated, the experience did not align with our expectations. The visit was further impacted by ongoing construction within Cadbury World, resulting in the closure of certain areas. Understandably, improvements and expansions are essential for enhancing future visitor experiences. However, the absence of these sections diminished the overall value, time and enjoyment of our visit on this occasion. Reflecting on our visit, the current offering at Cadbury World feels more akin to a brief excursion rather than a full day out. The limitations in both the duration and the interactive experiences offered suggest that the attraction, in its current state, may not fully justify the cost of admission, especially for families looking to engage their children in a day-long activity. In conclusion, while Cadbury World undoubtedly holds the potential for a fascinating and enjoyable family experience, our recent visit suggests there is room for improvement in ensuring the reality aligns with expectations. Adjustments to the visitor experience, particularly during periods of construction, could enhance satisfaction and ensure that the world of Cadbury remains a cherished destination for chocolate lovers of all ages.

Do not bother going - complete waste of money - dated, most of it was closed, you get 3 bars of chocolate free and a small pot of melted chocolate with a choice if sides. So disappointed. You don't see chocolate being made, being packed. You get one station where a man is putting chocolate in moulds....pointless. There was nothing about the 200 years of Cadburys The ride is dire. Didn't bother with 4D Photos ridiculously experience Such a disappointing experience do not bother!

Looking for something to do over the half term, our eleven-year-old suggested Cadbury World and, as it had been several years since we had visited and it's accessible by train (get off at Bournville station), we decided to go for it. Unfortunately, the place has hardly changed since our last visit and, if anything (as some areas were closed for "improvements") there is even less to see and do. With younger children in tow, the outdoor play area and magic show adds an hour or two to the overall visit, and younger children will probably enjoy the now pretty dated 4D cinema film (but do they even know who the Cadbury's Parrot and the Caramel Bunny are these days?) as well as the little ride around a world of animatronic cocoa beans. For adults and teenage children it's a bit of a rip-off however. The tour itself (a bit about the history of chocolate, the history of the company, the production of chocolate) is quite nicely done but you are whisked around it so quickly that it's all done in just over half an hour. And that involves all of two minutes writing your name with squirty chocolate and another few minutes watching a demo of how chocolates used to be made by hand. What else is there to do after the half hour tour? Spend money in the over-priced cafe or buy more chocolate in the shop? The shop is pretty disappointing and dated too. They should try and make it bigger, more like the M&M store in London with merch as well as chocs. I think everyone's aware that it's a bit of a rip-off, so they try and make you feel better by giving you chocolate on your way in. Our party of four got three bars each, so I suppose I'm meant to knock a couple of quid off the £70 or whatever it cost to get in... It was pretty busy though on the day of our visit - tickets all sold out - so the place is a nice little earner. I'm sure the current owners think the admission price is fair compared to other visitor attractions but, if I take out the time we spent in the cafe and shop and the time spent standing around in queues or waiting for our tour to begin, I calculate we had less than an hour of actual entertainment. £70, people.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon in February. Half the staff seemed bored and uninterested. Staff at cafe in adventure playground were rude and got order wrong through just not listening. The self guided tour seemed chaotic and we were eventually guided up stairs to the Cadabra ride. Far too many people on the stairs and the room at the top couldn’t cope with that number. The very quiet staff tried to tell people to squash up but no one could hear them. The easier thing would to have stopped people going upstairs until there was room. No wonder the ride is closing soon. Having queued for 25 minutes, at least 3 groups were allowed to just queue jump to the front with no apparent reason. The chocolate making - again, you couldn’t hear Andrew, the guy doing it. A simple microphone would help. Overall the whole day was ok, but it’s gone downhill massively since Merlin took over the site. Wouldn’t recommend it. It was very crowded - it was Saturday though - and you can’t help feeling it’s just a money making scheme by the owners now.

Don't bother.... I visited Cadbury World around 12 years ago and it was really good; lots of history, chocolate demonstrations, interactive displays and a tour around the factory. It also included lots of chocolate giveaways and chocolate to eat all the way around. Today we struggled to make an hour of it.... A real disappointment and a bit of a shambles. No factory tour, a five minute ride suitable for toddlers and the rest was quite forgettable. I just feel as I've been ripped off, which is a shame as I've been really looking forward to visiting and travelled from North Wales especially to visit. I really don't know how it's managed to deteriorate so much in recent years. A real shame and expected a lot more.

We bought our ticket in the multi attraction pass with two other attractions. We had a lovely family visit. We were booked for 2pm but advised we could arrive earlier and enjoy the park and shows before our entry. If we had waited until after our arrival time we would have not had time to do all the extra bits like the 4d cinema and Freddo show. The factory was great, my children 3/5 both learnt about where chocolate came from and its history but particularly loved the little ride, tasting the chocolate and drawing with chocolate. In terms of seeing the actual factory in action, my husband was disappointed you do not see any factor lines mass producing chocolate but the children loved the visit. The 4D cinema was fantastic we all loved that and the Freddo show was an added bonus. The children loved the park and enjoyed letting off some steam before our drive home. H age 5 - favourite part was tasting the chocolate M age 3- favourite part was trying the runny chocolate.

Really disappointed with this trip. Booked for myself and my chocolate loving partner for his birthday. I'd wanted to go here for years so jumped at this chance to go. Booked a hotel as well and decided to make a weekend of it. On arrival the whole reception area was total chaos, we had booked our time slot but had to join a very large queue of people, some who were booked hours after us but had just decided to chance their arm in getting in early. You are given free chocolate at the start point - but then have to buy a bag to put it in as we had nothing on us. Lots of walking. and I mean lots - very disappointed that its just old corridors full of advertised but not tell you much about production at all. Lots of screaming children as the corridors were packed and you couldn't move along freely. We left after 30 minutes, decided to go into the cafe, we expected it to be more expensive - but boy it was so expensive - we decided to just have a drink and leave. Very very disappointed - on the plus side the toilets were clean .

Fantastic making Chocolate story tour, after which we had the Chocolate tasting experience, writing our names in Chocolate, We then went into the Cadbury story which we all enjoyed especially the seating experience. This then took us on to the Cadabra car ride through a magical journey. After that we went to the 4D Chocolate Adventure, which we thoroughly enjoyed riding the Crunchie roller coaster diving into liquid Cadbury dairy milk....fantastic 😀 Then we went to the Feddi's Treasure Trove show which was very good, entertaining family fun. Very much enjoyed the audience participation. The kids then had time playing in the African adventure play area. We found the whole experience great value, well organised. Lots to see and do. Staff were friendly, happy and helpful throughout our visit Great cafe and refreshments outside too. Definitely recommend a visit, but, book before you go as tickets on the day are not always available

We had a work away day to Cadbury World in early/mid Feb. It had just reopened after a few months’ closure for a refurbishment. I was optimistic it would have improved, given all the bad reviews here and was looking forward to trying the brand new ride. Unfortunately the new ride hadn’t yet opened and at least 2 other things were still shut (the Bournville Experience and something called “Advertising Street” or similar), so that was quite disappointing. I would avoid going until these things do open! Overall it was OK, unsurprisingly aimed more at kids but I’m not sure I’d rush back with my kids. The 4D cinema was good, and I think they must have smartened it all up a bit as it wasn’t tatty (as per previous reviews). It was thankfully quiet when we were there but we still had a 10 min wait for the cinema and I can imagine it’s horrifically busy weekends and school holidays (which is the main reason I wouldn’t go back).

We visited Cadbury world for the first time this week. We’d read that lots of work was going on and people advising to wait until later in the year. We decided to go still as we were in the area. We were handed 3 bars of chocolate as we went in and then walked around the self guided tour. Some bits were more interesting for my son, he particularly enjoyed writing with chocolate and trying the small amount of melted chocolate that we were given. We also enjoyed the 4d cinema and the little rides. We look forward to coming back later in the year once everything is fully open.
